You can get free jazz riffs from the biab site:

Riffs are displayed in notation and TAB, and there is a large number available, and a new riff to learn every day. They are in WMA audio format, so you can also listen to them in a media player. Unfortunately, they're not midi files and can't be imported into BiaB.
