The Cycle of Fifths

This diagram displays the cycle of fifths in major and minor keys.  It is interesting to note that if you travel around the cycle in an anti clockwise direction, it is a cycle of fourths.  It is a good idea to memorise the cycle and the number of sharps/flats for each key.  It is then easy to identify the key signature as written on the staff.
